Tracy Bruce: Demanding Support from Politicians
Tracy Bruce, an AIDS services advocate at the AIDS Survival Project in Atlanta, has no problem getting people’s attention. An HIV-positive mother of two, she has lobbied in the offices of the country’s top legislators, demanding their active support for new HIV/AIDS initiatives, such as better housing, access to inexpensive medications and more funding for HIV prevention and awareness.
