Of course infectious disease is affected by the economy. It rises. HIV infection, whether from sex or drug use, is higher amongst lower-income persons. BMS knows this. And all they care about - evidenced by their "hopes" of high revenue - is profit. When will we stand up and demand the price of crucial, life-saving medication for all potentially fatal illnesses be regulated? The federal government could used the money saved on ADAP to fund research for cures.
