this artical is a rediculous joke and I am seriously disappointed with Pos for giving it legs. hiv is affecting children- are they minority, drug injecting gays as well? get with 2012 and realize its everywhere. in fact an infection occurs every 9 minutes, you figure it out!
I am a HIV+ Hetero male, I believe I got infected having sex with a high risk woman , we did lots of coke and I didn't use a condom, I also had unprotected sex with a woman who has menstruating and a few others, not sure which one gave it to me or if I passed it on, never thought this would happen to me
HIV is a hetero disease I contracted it from a handjob the woman had transferred herpes to my penis through not washing her hands, the aids virus was riding on the herpes virus, this crap is very easy to catch and do not forget that, people saying that it is not are totally full of SH*T!!! Be very careful and do not believe everything you read about how hard it is to catch..it is very contagious!!!!!

He is right. Its not IMPOSSIBLE TO SPREAD to via vaginal intercourse. But all the evidence i have found online by actual experts have shown its more of a problem for MSM and drug users. The problem with a lot of the "heterosexual" people who have the disease, are many of them lie about their drug use, or dont consider having anal sex with other men "gay" aids is a tragedy, and its very possible among heteros, but based of all the info i could find of the internet, they all agree. Lets be REAL!! An American thats a 100% heterosexual male that is circumsised with a average size penis, no obvious cuts or stds, no drug use, or prostitution risks that has sex with a woman that fits in the same category (except the penis part) and is not menstruel, the chances are basically non exsistent! Beleive it or not- but those category requirments for both people to fill are hard to do. try googling hetero males with hiv and try findin a story where no drugs were involved or prostitute

I know this is an old article but I also am annoyed that Poz.com would as someone else wrote 'give this article legs'. HIV is a disease that effects everyone. jhohn tomsan is wrong, Hetero men even if they are cut can and do get infected with HIV and yes it does happen in North America.
