Chris
I will admit that-- after the initial shock of reading this article (especially a researcher) equating monetary value to a disease that I have--I took pause and read with interest Dr. Shackman's hypothesis. I am curious if Dr. Shackman's formula includes mental health care? The physical ailments caused by HIV are manageable, not 100% of the time, but medical progress has succeeded in creating a chronic disease state out of HIV. However I maintain that HIV is a disease of the emotions, too.
