Please tell Nello that I remember him from the 11 years I lived in SF. I put my infection in 1980 and remember hanging out with Nello on several occasions. I am so glad he is still with us. I joined SFGMChorus in 1981 & toured the country with them; I believe Nello was involved with the group. (My name was Brian Thomas at the time...) He might just remember me... I would be delighted if we made contact again. I was recently reminded of him for some odd reason. Then saw the banner and had to....

Mr. Carlini was my AP English teacher in high school about 40 years ago when much in polite society was tragically ignored and unspoken, he was exacting and wonderful, his teaching style helped me prepare for further studies, he showed how to recognize value in literature. i still think about him when i am in bookstores or selecting my next read--would Mr. Carlini approve? he gave me an incredible gift and i will always be grateful that i was a student of Mr. Carlini.
