Really glad to see this. This means that major research into a cure that would have been delayed will now go on asap.

Please note that Nigerians are also interested in participating in the trial reseach
Investing in Sangamo would have been a wiser choice as it appears they are on to something with the recent stem cell experiments they've conducted which showed promise toward a potential cure.

After viewing an article on Sangamo's Yahoo! Finance page, indicating that both Merck and Sangamo will "benefit from grants worth more than $70 million," I emailed the author and editor for more information. It turns out that they will most likely receive funding through their partnership agreements with UCSF/VGTI, and FHCRC, respectively. The NIH was unfortunately very vague as to exactly what funds will go where, as well as what projects the funds will directly affect in these partnerships.
