I've been running the Fight AIDS at Home on the World Community Grid since 2007 and believe it's helping advance HIV research.
Hmm? Sounds like the SETI (Search for Extraterrestial Intelligience at home) program to me, and it's been around for some years.
It seems like a easy notion, too easy. One has to remember not to rely on the next person but to do his or her own part, when something as simple as this comes along.
Just a reminder to your readers that they can join the AIDSmeds.com team. As a team we've already donated over 38 years of computing time, mainly to the FightAIDS.at.Home project.

I ran this project for a while. There are problems in science with solutions that can be pursued much faster if we had the computational resources. This is one such project. There are about 600 million PCs in the world. A mere fraction of that dedicated to a project like this really can be just the weapon needed to shine a bright enough light on the problem so a solution can be found. And as computers become faster, the process only becomes better! Do it! You have nothing to lose.
