I was asked to speak about "stigma and HIV" --- and just started to write some notes for my speech (which is - uh, tomorrow). After all I've been through, the stigma has to be the worst. Overcoming the ignorance surrounding HIV has become my life's mission. I do it one person at a time. Hopefully, our new President will finally address HIV/AIDS by FINALLY implementing a National AIDS strategy. Stigma can only be abated through education and good policy.

I think STOPPING treatment with no alternatives is ill advised. Why did you start in the first place? Doing good? I am scared for you. Its not about intellectual knowledge but a living virus fighting your immunity, PLEASE.

i stopped drugs due to many side effects. am now 6 mths free of drug, and am doing good. a know quite abit abt arv's, i have done courses on the same, adherence included, but am not re-starting!
