My insurance is considering only covering older versions of my HIV meds. What are the pros and cons I should think about?

I have switched regimens several times over the years as things have improved. I have been on Stribild for the past few years now, and have always had Cigna over two different companies, and have had no issues just switching meds. These meds are always so expensive I hit the deductible and also the max co-pay right away. Then I use the co-pay assistance card I qualify for and it is very affordable.
"What are the pros and cons .."? There are no pros to this situation.

Doctors, not insurance companies should be deciding the best treatment regime for a patient.. My insurance is suddenly forcing me to go to mail order meds and I have a feeling that's only the beginning.. ITs scary when ones LIFE depends on these drugs
