hello jeff and thank you for this beautifully written story. there is so much in what you have written that i can personally relate to. my former partner died in 1996, apparently too late to be rescued by the new protease inhibitors. i say "apparently" because we had separated and gone on to other relationships. both of us were in the theatre and had been successful in different ways---his greatest talent lay in ingenious costume design, where i was an actor. thanks, jeff, for your story.
