You are correct that the information presented in this article is not new to those in the know, but it is new information to those who have never exposed to it before. It's sad that the longer we move away from those devastating early years of the AIDS episode there are less people who remember or even know at all anything about HIV and AIDS. And, for those people, articles like this are invaluable for reminding them of what was, what is and potentially will be in the future concerning HIV.

A concise history of HIV/AIDS. However, nothing new is related in this article. I suppose a primer on the history of HIV will always be valuable. The human propensity for denial and misinformation is always with us.
