I'm sorry that this thank you took so long (12/16/14) in reaching you concerning my POZ Story (really My POZ Life), but sh*t happens while you're making other plans, as you probably know already. I know how you feel. I don't believe this plague will kill me outright, but will wear me down until I can't fight it anymore. I feel as if my former stamina. It sucks. I feel weak and can't do the things I want...It REALLY sucks! If it weren't for my dog...I never would have made it through last year.

It is nice to read, about a fellow traveler. was sick in 79 diagnosed in 83. The new illness in the end of the 70"S turned out not o b new, but a virus, that swept threw the gay community like wildfire.

I am also a long term survivor. I don't know when I was infected, but could be as far back as the late 70s. I know that I am still here because I got my father's immune system. Now I care for my father who is almost 90. I too had a quad bypass at 47 and triple at 52. I have to say though, I really feel like my body is wearing out. I feel so tired and weak most of the time. Tested pos in 1985, and had I known I'd live this long, I would have made other choices, since I didn't die in the 90s.

Robert, that was a brilliant synopsis of what I know was a more horrible experience than you made it sound to the reader. I believe this could be a base for a novel because you lived through the entire battle with HIV/AIDS from its onset till today, which is an amazing feat. All my Gay family of friends from 1977 to the present have died except for you, Kurt, and me. Kurt and I have been together for 22 years now and get tested every Jan. still negative after all these years. You are my hero!
