You are right on target, Ed.
You can make studies/stats show whatever you want. I get a laugh out of people that believe in abstinence only sex education. Media markets nothing but sex, but don't YOU have it.??? Come on! The bottom line is... until we instill self esteem, self respect, responsibility in our future, teach that the human body is beatuiful in all shapes, sizes, sexual orientations, stop being such a prude society as a whole, etc., we are going to continue to have teenage STIs/pregnancy, GLBT suicide, etc.

No great surprises here. Abstinence-only does delay and reduce the kids having sex. But did they ask if they were having SAFE sex? I bet the abstinence-only kids are having a lot more unsafe sex when they do, more pregnancies, more STDs, etc. They should compare the pregnancy and STD rates between the groups, not just whether they're having sex.
