Way to go Texas, I do wonder how your HIV stud rates are in that state?
I never get over the stupidity and cruelty of people in charge of money for health maintenance and support when they continue to chip and hack away at the basic network of safety for poor or otherwise needy folks. The fact that this happens preponderantly in the South (including TX) just speaks to the overall (and willful) ignorance perpetuated by the pols in that area of our "great nation." Sad...sad indeed.
Shame on you Texas politicians for stripping HIV funding from Planned Parenthood. In doing so, you hurt many many people who need help now!! History will remember the disservice and shameful acts in your efforts to achieve your ridiculous and unfounded agenda! Shame, shame, shame.

Typical Texas! It is a national embarrassment that this state is so socially backwards. Texas Congress works overtime to turn abortion rights laws back to 1930 or 1940. Now it wants to defund Planned Parenthood, an organization that performs more public services (HIV testing and referrals) than abortions. It is as if the State gets off on making others miserable or desperate.
