On The March
by Tim Murphy
More than 125 top HIVers and advocates from around the country (including POZ founder Sean Strub) hit Washington in January to plot a massive fall march on the capital. Hoping to lure tens of thousands, the Campaign to End AIDS will rage from October 8 to 12, putting the domestic AIDS crisis back on the national radar. The AIDS-a-palooza will tackle Bushies and dems alike for prevention and treatment needed to quash the epidemic here and abroad. Help plan the event’s demonstrations, prayer meetings, Hill visits—and an epic rally inspired by 1968’s legendary Poor People’s March—by punching up www.aidsmarch.org or 202.408.0305.
