Quick Study: Diarrhea

A small Brazilian study found that the dietary supplement glutamine relieves diarrhea and wasting in HIVers. Some in the study had developed resistance to their meds—chronic diarrhea might have kept them from absorbing the drugs. But can developing countries absorb the supplement’s cost?
