The incidence of anal cancer among gay HIVer men hasn’t fallen significantly in the HAART era, a new study shows.

In a small German study, Aldara cream (for genital warts) kept HIVer men’s abnormal anal cells from becoming tumors.

HIVer women are three times as likely as neggies to develop genital warts from HPV; a high CD4 count means a lower risk.

A history of alcohol or drug dependence greatly increased the risk of dementia among HIVers in a Pittsburgh University study.

HIV/hep C coinfectees may suffer extra side effects because both viruses damage mitochondria (power source of cells).

Rosuvastatin (Crestor), a cholesterol-lowering drug, may cause muscle weakness and kidney damage at doses over 10 mg per day.
