Prisoners—including many HIVers—may finally get the hepatitis C care their high rates of infection require. In some states, HIVers are routinely denied hep C help. But a January CDC report advises correctional officials to start testing all inmates at risk for hep C and to treat those who prove positive. The Federal Bureau of Prisons already claims to be re-writing its guidelines to comply.
