The Rub

UCSD researchers massaged the prostates of four guys on HAART with undetectable virus in their blood and semen …and found that, right after the rub, the viral load in their semen broke through to detectable, just a bit below. The same rub on three HIVers not on HAART had no major effect on their semen viral load, which ranged between 3,000 and 285,000. The study suggests the prostate might be the latest in a series of spots where HIV “hides,” even when undetectable in blood samples. Message to male HAART-takers? After your G-spot gets a little bump and rub, put on a condom before you stick it in someone.
