Hot And Bothered
by Josh Sparber
Sex, drugs and Stairmasters had Capitol Hill lawmakers sweating as a
plain-talkin’ pamphlet entitled “Good Sex is Safer Sex” hit the gym
used by the House of Representatives. “I was downstairs in the House
gym using the phone, and during a break I just grabbed something to
read,” one outraged rep (anonymously) told The
Hill,
a weekly read for congressional insiders. “I learned not to use a
condom twice, among other things.” Sponsored by DC’s Whitman-Walker
Clinic, the guide offers tried-and-true instruction on safer sex as
well as syringe-bleaching techniques and a warning against sharing sex
toys—“in vernacular language unsuitable for publication,” according to
The Hill. Clearly, the 400-word freebie is a real pulse-raiser. Is your
rep healthy enough to handle it?
