Dementia

A blood test may soon show your risk for HIV-associated dementia (HAD). Researchers in Puerto Rico and Nebraska found that blood-cell protein patterns offer signs of HAD risk. “Molecular fingerprinting” could someday help screen and treat the cognitive disorder, which hits about 10 to 15 percent of HIVers.
