A survey by the University of South Carolina of 322 women with HIV recently found that while 75 percent had been told that AZT dramatically decreases mom-to-baby transmission, only 58 percent believed it. Many said they would take it while pregnant only if they got sick. “Better communication…is a clinical priority,” the survey said. How about Christina Aguileira, L’il Kim, Mya and Pink singing a “Lady AZT” public-health campaign?
