Face for the Cure

Does the cure for AIDS walk among us? The “I Am the Cure” prevention campaign (www.hivstopswithme.org), which kicked off last November at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center, argues that positive people can play a vital role in stopping the spread of HIV. The launch night spotlighted positive community leaders, including Phill Wilson, founder of the Black AIDS Institute, and West Hollywood City Councilmember John Duran. They can’t spell cure without “u.”
