Attention, K-Y Shoppers

Does your lubricant have you on a slippery slope toward HIV risk? The International Rectal Microbicide Working Group (IRMWG), has unearthed a 2004 Population Council study on over-the-counter goops. Tested in mice, lubes causing the “most damage” to rectal cells were K-Y-Plus and DeLube. Causing “some damage” were Vagisil, Viamore and Astroglide. “Much more lube research must be done,” says IRMWG’s Jim Pickett. Help out by visiting www.irmwg.com and taking its lube survey.
