Ireland Writes Clinton a Big Check

September 29, 2006—Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern announced today that Ireland would donate $88.7 million toward the AIDS work of the Clinton Foundation, run by former President Bill Clinton. The money, the largest-ever Foundation grant from a single nation, will fund HIV programs in Mozambique and Lesotho over the next five years.
