Remember HIV Dementia?

October 4, 2006—Scientists are beginning to test drugs to treat HIV dementia, which affects one in five people with HIV and causes symptoms similar to late-stage Alzheimer’s. Current meds cannot prevent HIV from sneaking through the blood/brain barrier and causing this debilitating problem.
