A Fuss Over Condi’s Warm Welcome

October 17, 2006—The Family Research Council is reportedly upset about Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s friendliness last week while swearing in openly gay Mark Dybul as Global AIDS Coordinator. Among the concerns was that, as First Lady Laura Bush looked on and Dybul’s partner, Jason Claire, held a Bible, Rice referred to Claire’s mother as Dybul’s mother-in-law.
