Ganging Up on the Gag Rule

More than 25 public health and human rights organizations filed a legal brief last week arguing that the U.S. AIDS Leadership Act hurts the global fight against HIV. The policy, which requires groups receiving federal funding to sign a pledge opposing commercial sex work, has twice been ruled unconstitutional in federal court and is now under appeal.
