Illinois May Test School Kids

A bill introduced in the Illinois House this week would make HIV testing routine for all kids before they enter kindergarten, fifth grade and ninth grade, although parents could opt out. While childrens’ confidentiality is assured, among the concerns raised is whether teens could opt out without asking their parents.
