Ladies’ Night in Thailand

Sex workers who run the “Can Do” Bar in Chiang Mai, Thailand say that being in charge gives them the confidence to demand that clients wear condoms and otherwise control their working conditions. Thailand is believed to have between 500,000 and 1 million female sex workers and an estimated 13 million foreign tourists annually—many of them engaging in so called “sex tourism.”
