Los Angeles city health officials have ruled that nine area bathhouses must comply with safer sex and HIV testing regulations. The venues are now each required to pay annual regulatory fees of more than $1,000, promote safer sex, and allow quarterly inspections by health officials and providing on-site HIV testing. Last year, the sites sued the city, claiming the regulations were illegal and discriminatory.
