“Live Up” on the Caribbean Airwaves
The Caribbean Broadcast Media Partnership on HIV/AIDS launched its first pan-Caribbean awareness campaign this week, just in time for the opening of the Cricket World Cup in the West Indies on Sunday, an event that will attract viewers and visitors from around the world. Over 50 radio and television stations are participating in the campaign, called Live Up, which is aimed at fighting new infections and HIV stigma in the region. The Caribbean has the highest infection rates outside Africa.
