South Africa Sings a New HIV Tune

The South African government announced a new five-year plan today to fight HIV stigma, reduce new infections and improve treatment access for the 5.5 million positive people. Activists cheered the announcement after years of clashing with the Mbeki administration, which had hesitated to commit publicly to the value of antiretroviral medicine.
