First Ever National Native HIV Awareness Day

Today marks the first annual National Native (American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian) HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The date also marks the first day of spring and symbolizes a new era of awakening and change. Natives have the third highest rate of HIV of any racial or ethnic group in the country after African Americans and Latinos.
