HIV Wake-Up Call for Baltimore Youth

The Baltimore-based After School Institute launched a “Spread the Word…Not the Disease” HIV/AIDS prevention campaign last week with the city’s department of health, Mayor Shelia Dixon and a local radio station to target young people with messages about abstinence and condom use.  Baltimore has the country’s second highest annual rate of new AIDS cases, reports the Examiner.
