A recall of Viracept (nelfinavir) that was contaminated with carcinogenic agents has sparked panic among Zambians, who are demanding an explanation from the government to alleviate fears that other HIV meds could be contaminated as well. The drug has been recalled in all markets except the U.S., Canada and Japan, which were not affected; European authorities have temporarily suspended the drug’s license.
