Reverset in Reverse

by Staff

Thursday, September 29, 2005—Reverset, the latest HIV med from pharma company Incyte, might arrive late to the medicine cabinet—if at all. After the drug company announced that the nuke is ready for phase III drug trials, the Food and Drug Administration asked for another phase II. According to AIDSmeds.com, Incyte’s phase II study only demonstrated a small difference in viral load between patients taking Reverset and those receiving a placebo at 16 weeks. Incyte says that the second phase II trial would delay the original 2008 release by 12 to 18 months.
