Moms on Combos Have Smaller Babies

November 3, 2005—Babies born to moms on HIV combos measure smaller in height, weight and head size than babies born to moms taking one med or no meds, according to the European Collaborative Study, published in this month’s Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes. The study says the size differences are not dangerous, however, and that the benefits of triple-drug therapy far outweigh any problems.
