HIV on the Brain

November 9, 2005—An October study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences reported that HIV can damage brain tissue even when you’re on HIV meds. The Los Angeles Times looked at ongoing HIV brain research on Monday, including the October study’s finding that brain tissues were up to 15% thinner in people living with AIDS than in HIVers who had not yet developed AIDS.
