GSK Plans Experimental HIV Vaccine

November 28, 2005—Pharma giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) hopes to develop an HIV vaccine by fusing HIV genes onto an existing measles vaccine—with the help of France’s Institut Pasteur, GSK announced today. Four research centers in France, Belgium and Britain will be involved in the trial, which is slated to start in about three years.
