Medicaid Cuts Hit People With HIV

December 22, 2005—Congress approved a 2006 spending package Wednesday night that slashes $39.7 billion from a number of federal programs and will boost premiums and co-pays for low-income positive people on Medicaid. Also under the new law, Medicaid participants will be cut off from services if they fail to pay for services within 60 days.
