Nigerians Get Free Meds For Christmas

December 23, 2005—It’s a merry, merry time for Nigerians with HIV, thanks to a “Christmas gift” from President Olusegun Obasanjo, who announced the government will start paying for all HIV meds in 2006. Nigeria has the third largest HIV positive population in the world at 3.5 million infected.
