India Considers Outlawing HIV Discrimination
December 29, 2005—Indian legislators are considering one of the world’s first-ever laws specifically prohibiting HIV discrimination. The bill would also codify HIV positive Indians’ rights to confidentiality and treatment and create new government structures for enforcing national HIV policies.
