Wanted: Indian Hipsters With HIV

January 31, 2006—There’s a talent search underway in India for young, HIV positive musicians interested in forming a pop band and singing about HIV. An American Idol-style panel of professionals will conduct auditions and choose ten winners later this year at the contest finale in Kolkata (Calcutta). The project is funded by the United Nations and two Indian AIDS groups.
