Harper’s Hosts a Denialism Debate

February 24, 2006—A 15-page article in the March issue of Harper’s magazine revives the so-called “denialist” argument that HIV doesn’t cause AIDS. Author Celia Farber presents HIV meds as poisonous, describing the death of Joyce Ann Hafford during her enrollment in a drug study. And she questions the science of HIV testing, among other AIDS basics.

NOTE: The March issue of Harper’s is available in print but not yet online. If you've read the story and want to comment, email us at news@poz.com. (Include “Harper’s story” as your subject line.) And check out some of the feedback already in!
