Human Cells to Treat HIV?

March 20, 2006—Human cells that generally repair DNA also happen to destroy HIV-made DNA—and might lead researchers to a new kind of anti-HIV treatment, according to a study published by the National Academy of Sciences. HIV may be less likely to develop resistance to treatments that target human cells instead of the virus itself.
