Fries With That?

March 23, 2006—The African potato, which has been touted by South African Health Minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang as a way to treat HIV, may actually decrease the effectiveness of anti-HIV drugs, according to some South African pharmaceutical students. Possible side effects, the students found, include insomnia, deadly allergies, seizures, hallucination and liver damage.
