S. African Prisoners Hunger Strike for Meds

March 28, 2006—Over 200 inmates in Durban, South Africa’s Westville prison are on a hunger strike to demand access to HIV treatment. The government provides meds free to 50,000 so far of the nation’s estimated six million positive people.
