HIV Slowing Down?

May 30, 2006—The rate of new HIV infections stabilized in the late 1990s, according to a UNAIDS report released today, although rates in young people and children are still increasing. There are an estimated 38.6 million people with HIV worldwide; about 4.1 million were infected in 2005.
