How Are You Feeling?

No, really... If your viral load is down, your CD4 cell count is under control, and you’re happy, cool.   But what if your numbers are good but not your quality of life? Say the meds are making you feel down, sluggish or nauseous?

Your lab work may tell you why. And to keep things interesting, there’s more to lab work than viral load, CD4 cell count and resistance testing There is other lab work that everyone, regardless of HIV status, needs to monitor his or her whole health.

This POZ Focus, the first in a two-part series about feeling good and communicating with your doctor, will school you about some cool tools you and your doc can use to learn about your body, head problems off at the pass, and come up with a strategy if something just doesn’t seem right. Because as you already know, feeling good is about so much more than numbers.
